strange touch creeping into my prose that I absorbed from you. It was almost unconscious. It gave me a freedom that makes me write easier. When I hit off a good article, I say to myself someone helped me. Only people who can't feel into a man's writing will not know this. That's why I want to sort of thank you. Even if I never get anywhere in the writing game (I think so often) I still say that I owe you a compliment, a thanks for the guidance your prose has given me. Why should I be ashamed to tell you this? I am honest, I know that. Once I even stopped a pretty girl I had never met and told her "Lord! But you are beautiful." What the hell do I care if she thinks I am mad? Sincerely Norman Rosenstein 2930 West 19 St Brooklyn, N.Y.
