     Greetings from Vienna!  My name is Bill Butts; I'm a Fulbright teaching assistent [sic] in Austria (or rather, I teach to support my writing habit), and a long-time reader and admirer of your work.  That is why I now write, as I have a special request I wish to ask of you.
     I'm hoping you might spare a few moments of your time and respond to this question:  How would you rate underlined:  The Disinherited among other "proletarian novels" of the 30's?
     Lastly, would you by any chance have a spare photo of yourself that you could inscribe to me?
