Dear Mr. Conroy,

     I am a fifth grade student.  I attend Laurel Park School in Brentwood.  My hobbies are riding bikes making tents and making models.  I have three older sisters and a dog.
     I liked the book you and Mrs. Bontemps wrote.  The title of it was underlined:  The Fast Sooner Hound.  The best part was when the hound was racing the train.  I would please like to know some things about you.  When did you become and Author?   When was your first book published?  What was the name of your first book?
    If you have the time, would you please answer my letter?  You are my favorite author.
