7 Sept. 1976 Dear Jack oboy oboy:

Don't know nothing about this hyeah [sic] puppet theater, 'cept [sic] I seen them carting stuff out of the

building and putting stuff into the building. Last time I recall a movie in the place was the "Garden of the Conti Continis" or sumpun [sic] - I saw the movie on TV - thought you might know something about the students from Lindenwood College of Missouri, working for their apprenticeship or whatever. I may take in a show if it looks likely. They spoke of the Old Heidelberg Rathskeller in the write-up and the Old Heidelberg has an original watercolor hanging by the ladies and mens johns, by John C. Rogers - formerly artist in-residence of the place, afore I come a-croppin' of hard liquor and used to frequent the place. Now, alas, it is few and between times when I get by the place. I used to favor dark German beer and bourbon in my time, but no more, not no more.

How's things in Missouri, and anent? the Quarterly underline Foolkiller [/underline]] ? Haven't heard

from them for a month o' Sundays - guess they give me up as a furrin' [sic] kind of man.

 Hanging in there, Jack II.
