   Got no rest while chilluns are away - our cat had underlined:  five kittens - driving me underlined: NUTS - all over the place - gonna call Animal Welfare tomorrow and get them tooken away - except for Momma cat (yclept "Pickles") and one Tiger cat the chillun liked - "Tiger" likes me too - follows me all over the place - every morning I find all five kittens & momma sleeping in MY bed at my feet - hate to let them go - but with LBJ's inflation I can't afford 5 cats and two chillun - am in debt as it is - think of old song:  "Price of living is so high, it's cheaper now to die."     No - I don't make no money on cartoons for press - $5.00 - $10.00 for 2-col drawings - same art in New York City is not less than underlined:  "$25.00"  a drawing - I used to get $3.00 - sometimes I get a "special"  underlined: outside job from Travel Editor and it is $15.00 or $25.00 - but not often.  But it helps and I keep thinking, in m old-age-mind - it may lead to something - it never has, I'm on a dead-end street.
