     Saw ad in NY paper "The Village Voice" re testimonial committee for Mike Gold -  including Carl Sandburg and others I recalled from WPA days - when did Gold pass away?  He autographed my "Jews Without Money" - I thought him a good writer, whose simple, effective prose deserved a wider audience - like prose of J. Conroy, Esq. -
     Can you send (spare, loan) or otherwise give away your Chicago underlined:  Lit. TIMES?  I do intend to subscribe - seems like high cost of living has me beat - girl in Miami, with friends and boy wants to go to Charlottesville - near my beloved Ragged Mts. - paid  underlined:  90₵ for dozen country eggs - but they are underlined:  REAL eggs!
