Dear Jack, (I mean Dr Conroy),
 I still haven't heard anything except the brefest [sic] of acknowledgements from Franklin & Salzman

about the introduction & other materials sent them back in early July. But I'm assuming they'll get moving soon & send but some sort of contract again. Those points you made in your letter can be added: I thought maybe Salzman would add them as we're supposedly going to co-sign it and as it read it was all my work.

 We are enjoying Austin & will be back in KC in January.
 I hope Gladys is better. We thing of you often.  Thought you'd like word of this born storyteller.
  Any new chapters of the autobiography for us? I'm enjoying immensely Chester Himes' My Life of
