in pencil in top margin [1960s] Sheila

This has been such a busy holiday season, Mr. Conroy, that I'm just getting my Christmas cards out now. My excuse is that I was traveling - and I was. Through your state, too. I changed trains in Kansas City on my way up from the really deep south.

I'm back in the States now for a year or so. Took pictures of a ?crazy? animal down in C.A. that I wanted to send to you, but they didn't turn out. It's a half-cat, half-coyote, and I couldn't find a soul who'd ever read archy and mehitabel.
Sorry to hear about your operation. Glad to hear about The Disinherited.
I hope to be in Chicago in February. If I make it, I'll look you up. I'd like to get caught up on what's been happening in the Windy City.
