things we are pretty well settled. I expect to go in town tomorrow to get a rug for the front room and some curtains for the library. We expect to get a new set of dishes soon and linoleum for the kitchen. Then we will feel quite elegant. Max is enjoying the garden so much and takes great pride in it and in the yard as well. I made a lovely strawberry shortcake the other day and gave half of it to Margaret & her grandma. earlier in the day M. bought me a bowl of chicken noodle soup for my lunch. It had a large piece of chicken in it and was fine. Our exchange of "food gifts" in the neighbourhood amuses Max very much.
