wrist is well, little Hub and I will both sally forth to purchase our gifts. As soon as I get my camera I shall try to take a very striking portrait of puss-cat and send you some. Glad Mr. Thomas enjoyed his visit with you and made himself agreeable. Some friends of the Wilson's have invited both them and ourselves over to play cards Saturday evening. I hope my hand will be well enough so I can shuffle. If not, somebody else will have to do it for me. Yes, that will be a fine way to spend the $10,000. I expect them to mail me the check next month. It would be just like their orneryness, though, to mail it to somebody else. Oh well, if I don't get that, I may get a prize in the scenario contest, a mere trifle of $250.00 or so. I got out my algebra yesterday and beginning at the beginning, worked my way through to subtraction. Am going to review all that I studied in first year, then take up geometry. Too bad the folks in A. P. can't get a market for their fruit. So many people up here would be glad to get it. Lots of love, Katharine.
