614 Charter Street New Orleans April 9, 1939. Dear Sherwood - I love the book of poetry. And I didn't know you had ever written poetry or could write it. It's awfully good and simple and lovely. I love these especially: Oblivion and In The Fields and Man in the road. I'm very grateful to you for sending the book to me. It is a prized possession. I wish you'd come back soon and bring Eleanor. Everything goes on here as per usual. Only there seems to be lots less festivity when you're not here. Love to you and all and thanks again - Elma
