Democracy has relation to life, for in it originates in and works by the principle of unity functioning as the reconciliation of opposites through transcending them.

Past - Present - Future peace symbol Legislative - Executive - Judicial Cause - Means - Effect

Everything in life works according to the principle of of the whole. Modern Americans have lost an understanding of life and with it, the understanding of the "art of the human relation." There's another thing: since events move so rapidly at present that the usual, slow processes of education are antiquated. Casting about a way of giving Americans an understanding of the workings of the forces of life it occurred to me that a film might be made showing the long conflict between idealism and materialism from the earliest times to the present. The plot is already in my mind. A picture of this kind naturally would be a monumental undertaking. But it might do more to save /and perpetuate American civilization then hundreds of lectures and isolate bits of "advertising" You could write the store of the "big river." The idea grows stronger as I consider it - the stream of life - squiggle mark "Shall we gather by the throne of God...." What do you think of it? I'm eager for your comment. Your unclear c/o F.A.
