 January first I am Taking on the Editorship of "The Bookman". Holliday will be the contributing editor.
 We are most anxious that it express the newer ideas and the country at large rather than has sometimes

been the tendency, to be somewhat too much of New York.

 For this reason we are particularly anxious to have something from you as soon as possible. Of course,

you know, a review of our type cannot offer large financial inducement; but one thing that we can do, is to publish your underline ideas /underline without fear.
