in a word, is all of the book MSS. you can let me have and the autographed, inscribed, presentation or "association copies" of books by Dreiser and other authors that you spoke about, also such letters and other autograph material from other well known people as you may care to shoot along. I haven't tried to crowd you about getting these things to me and dont want to do that now. I will only say that, because I have been trying to be decent and patient, I dont want to be shoved further and further toward the tail end of the line. Without hurrying or worrying, let's see what you can drag out by July 1 when the Mrs. and I will be back from Europe. Is that fair? This darned difficult, unpleasant letter was started over a week ago. Hope to see you very soon for a long, long talk about your plans, etc. Sincerely B.E. March 7, 1929
