At bottom I think most of them use the tools of the Communist Party in its strange and devious and, it seems to me at least, thoroughly disastrous policy - I certainly think your letter to Romain Rolland is very reasonable. I think I'll write him in the same vein - Its so long since I've read any of their releases, because they discourage me so, that I haven't any idea what position we hold, on the letterhead.
