    It was damn nice of you to write and I'm damn glad you liked the article. What worries me about the bastardly Communists is that they seem to me to be spreading around (and they certainly are skillful organizers) ideas that now that they've thrown overboard all their world revolutionary aims - are purely fascist. If we all have to go into an army I'd rather go into the U S army - I know what that's like. I don't know Mr. Stalin's army from the inside - but it seems kind of creepy to a spectator. They've certainly got the literary boys eating out of their hands. Maybe there was something in the ivory towers after all. Well be at the Lafayette until the middle of Feb.
