2 worried about my Minneapolist Druggist novel -- "Some Men Write Fairy Stories." After Macmillan's turned it down, Herman Schuchert suggested that he could reach Edna Kenton of Brand & Brand through a friend of his Sherman A Manchester with the Western Union Life Insurance Co, 50 East 42nd St. N.Y. I had the manuscript delivered to him in April and he hasnt vouchsafed a word. Herman has written and wired him -- but never an answer do we get. It cost about $75 to get that typed. I have the carbon (or Cornelia has) but I dont like to send that out.
