Dear Sherwood: I had lunch and a delightful two hours with Cornelia last Saturday. She is at the University of Chicago on a course in Latin. Looks fine and is fine. She certainly is doing a corking thorough job in teaching. Every time I see her I mavel at the facility with which she picks up the hardest stuff.
She told me about the boys. By this time I judge they are with you. Growing up eh. Well they're as interesting a pair of kids as I ever met -- and I'll bet their lives will be worth while. Mimi, I understand is at Pt. Sable. I asked Cornelia whether Mimi would be a careerist. Cornelia isn't certain. There are evidences of strength and individuality with possibilities. One thing I'm certain of -- she'll be a heart-breaker. Also that she is a chip off the old block -- (Anderson side) Ive become pretty much an old hermit-crab spending nearly all my spare time alone with my yarn. It is spinning along at a rate that will enable me to have it ready to enter in the Atlantic Monthly's contest next winter. I am going to enter it. That may ensure it a reading anyhow. Im sort of
