Dear Sherwood, We received both your nice letters. I am glad you and M had such a nice time together. She wrote Kath a letter and felt as you did. The letter was so alive and happy. We will see her Saturday. Kaths father wrote her and wanted us to come for a week & he would sneak? off and meet us Saturday & surprise them all. I couldn't bear to think of putting off moving and not getting at painting. but we didn't want to disappoint him in his plan so we decided to compromise.
