Dear Sherwood,
I got your letter this
morning and decided after all to ask you for the water colors. I got a bad impression that day I went to Baltimore to see about the show. I decided that I would go thru with it but it wasn't worth while to go to a lot of trouble. I think now it is a better chance and if I am doing it at all I had better make the best effort I can. The Charcoal Club altho it has rather gone to seed still has a certain prestige in Baltimore and I think your Foreword will do a good deal to draw people.
That is fine about John
Lineweaver wanting a water color. I couldn't send him any to choose from right now for every- thing I have is much is going into the exhibition. Prehaps
