Dear Jack, The most immediate result of my trip south was the writing of 2 plays -- one on the organization of the South by the CIO and the other an anti Jim Crow anti red-baiting theme. I would greatly appreciate it if you would be able to read them before publication so that in print they would show the healthy effects of your criticism and suggestions. If you're willing, I could either mail it out to you or invite you to spend an afty or evening with us. (My wife is rapidly becoming a damn good cook and she would love to have you to practice on.

  I think you will be pleased to learn (if you have not yet been informed) that a repertory theatre is in the process of organization.
