12 Reading from p 282 - Disinherited/ flivver people passage 13 Readings from pp 295-297 Dialog between Larry, Nat & Emma - flivver people/educating poor man's kids, etc. 14 Song "Talking Dust Bowl Blues" Woody Guthrie

Passages were picked for dramatic effect, dialog, and subject matter that relates well to songs in Foolkiller repotorie, sp? [sic]. Tim Head, Robin Kratchmer, and myself will do the reading. Bob Suckiel will do the music.

I don't know if you've heard by now but we have bought the building at 39th & Main. It's a nice 2 story building in an Art Decco [sic] style & a full basement. It was built in 1923-26 and has been used as a speakeasy/nightclub - a "habadashery" run by Harry Truman & Eddy Jacobson, a bank, and most recently a candy factory (sweatshop) There is a dirty book store across Main Street from us and a gay massage parlor across 39th St. from us, but all in all the public percieves [sic] the neighborhood as more "respectable" than the one we're in now. Final closing is March 31 and we'll probably have it open sometimes in June or early July. We hope you can make the Grand Opening Festivities.

Sincerely Ray R. Hathaway
