Dear Jack

  Good to know you're still doing business on the old stand.  I had begun to wonder.
  Another old friend, Harry Martin, from whom I had not heard for a year or more called yesterday from New York.  He's a wheel with Sperry and so can make all the calls he wants.
  Now the PO has phones plugged so we can't even make local calls.  I know some that aren't plugged, but don't want to risk the possible trouble for the sake of a dime.
  My new job with the PO is quite good.  Systems Support which, at my present level, pays about 17,000 a year.  Not the best but better than most.
  My hours are 3:30 to Midnight which keeps me out of trouble.  My days off are Wednesday and Thursday which keeps me out of weekend mobs.
