It was again good to see you by-line with you fine -- of J. F. --s' newest book. He's definitely one of our best writers and much too unknown or underestimated!

Your forthcoming autobiography is of much interest to me and I hope it is coming along well! Meanwhile, I'm engaged in a history of the recent American novel - looks like I'll be years grappling with it. Enjoyed chatting with you by phone awhile back about Manfred, etc. Kasen'o best!
