    Some time ago, you may remember,  I asked you to get a copy of "Somebody in Boots."   Also to send its author a present, anonymous, at my expense.
    This is to cancel both.
    I have carefully withheld payment on Mr. Abrahamson for something like a year during which time I did intensive detective work.  This afternoon I found out a few telling facts.
    Yes, he has a good literary style.  But I know now why the whole string section was missing from the book.
