his appointment of God for the work of redemption- his power & ability to accomplish it- The evidences of his actual coming & fulfilling his appointment of his Father his suffering on the cross resurrection from the dead- & ascension to Heaven These are all particulars which might be dwelt upon with almost infinite enlargement & indubitable certainty, as shewing Christ to have salvation in & through his name- But we pass by these as unnecessary for the design befire us & come down to two evidences only to be mentioned at this time (viz) the nature of Christian doctrines & the actual effects which have taken place upon mens minds where they have been cordially received unclear The nature of Christ's doctrines show that there is salvation in him. These all teach that God is a Being infinitely more holy, Just & good, & to be loved by all beings with all their hearts
