   Thank you for your letter and the check.  You are very helpful and efficient indeed.
   I have just written, upon the advice of a friend, to the Edition Sociales (a leftist publisher in Paris) about a French edition of underlined:  The Disinherited.  I'll keep you posted.
   I received Anyplace but Here a few days ago.  I  have not had time to read it through yet, but I read parts of it.  It is a wonderful book because you manage to give a lot of information, to keep a general line very clear and to make the book easy and lively, at the same time.   It should be a success.  I'll review it for LES LANGUES MODERNES, but it may take some time before being published (next winter or spring).  I'll inquire about a French edition, too.  How are the reviews and sales reports in the U.S?
   Yes, I have heard of B. Traven, but I do not know whether he has been translated.
   I hope you have a pleasant stay in New York.  Maybe you'll see Henrietta.
   Geneviève is quite willing to help with Jay Nash's underlined:  Literary Times but she would need the credentials at precisions about what she is expected to do before we leave Paris for the summer, that is around June 20, if her articles are needed for the Fall issue.
   I am in a rush because I have many things to do before we leave for London, in a week or so.  We hope to stay there about ten days, until June 5.  I'll do some research and visit friends.  We'll take the children with us and it will be a kind of vacation.
