   At last!  At last my character has uprighted itself and here are your long-lost tools back.  And as a thankyou I include one other which you may find handy incase you want a round hole in anything.
   All this explains I got a paycheck.  It has been unnerving working steady hours, but the money is a welcome change.
   I found out that Ozark Airlines (which service Moberly) has a weekend plan.   You can fly anywhere in their system (Denver, Chi., Minneapolis etc.) for $30 if you leave on Sat. and get your return (or last) flight by 6 pm the next day, Sunday.   Might be handy if you come to Chi. for a weekend.  One guy (wrote an article about it) flew 3700 miles for $30.
   I am working on a spy novel, and when and if I'll show it to you.
  Holt did a great thing in publishing Malreaux's book Anti Memoirs.  He's rather an international Conroy?  Was that the idea?  With a dash of mysticism.
  I understand Algren is on the government investigation panel of the Chi. riots.
  I am avoiding marriage - one good step toward publication.
  Mid-November I expect to have a coach-house near Old Town with 2 bedrooms - $65 a month so if you come to town and would like a bed you're welcome.
  Kogen is back in books.  Was that a demotion or a pro- ?  Or is he a romantic?
