unprofitableness of this faith & 1st It is unprofitable to any one who has it, unclear it makes him no better in t sight of GoD. It has no inherent excellency in it. It is not right even in theory; and it produces not one act of obedience to GoD, therefore it cannot profit anyone. 2 It makes a person no happier in himself, a man's heart in proportion to his believing things which he disrelishes, is rather alarmed & made unhappy. He has only t comfort of deception. 3 It produces no comfort under affliction.
