Dear Miss Secretary:
 I am writing you in reference to our shipment on Dec. 20th of eight cases of art subjects from the

La France Industries for your coming exhibit.

I had your letter on the shipping instructions regarding express and special contract covering

shipments in excess of $550. I regret to say that that the contract was made out for only six hundred dollars, instead of thirty-six hundred dollars, which should have been the declared value.

 This was a serious error on my part and trust that

the cases will arrive safely
