other things--copies of Catalogues of Pamela's previous exhibitions, newspaper cuttings etc etc - also a few more drawings--BUT, regarding the latter, I think it were advisable to show and catalogue just the 50 pieces I sent you--no more. To people specially interested you might show a few of the other things I'll be sending you--and in this I trust entirely your wisdom. I think it would be a mistake to show early drawings, or coloured drawings (beautiful as they are) side by side with her paintings, which are really her finest work (as you will doubtless realize)--such approachment only brings forth confusing opinion. You must present her work in the serious spirit in which it has been conceived--the matter of age is an accident--or better, precocity is the rule in all great painters ever known--and not at all the thing to be wondered at! -- Please reserve news cuttings for my reading (Pamela never reads criticisms of her work)--as I am curious to see how the Chicago public will receive P.'s work. From all I hear, your city is by far the most advanced Art Center in America. My compliments to you! Yours F. Bianco.
