Dear Mr. Conroy,

 This is a belated expression of thanks to you for your kind, yet insistant [sic] note pertaining to my writing efforts.
 One can indeed appreciate the implied suggestion of greater responsibility; particularly is this true of the Afro-American.
  Your suggestion shall be taken with the greatest seriousness, and I shall endeavor to write uninhibitedly.
  I want to thank you again for your courtesy, and am happy to know that as Mr. Flory told me you are "your chipper self."
