Dear Jack:

 I am interested in a young an on the Washington staff of the PATHFINDER. For

family reasons, he is very anxious to move from Washington to Chicago. He is interested in a job that will give him a chance to excercise [sic] his journalistic or his scholarly background or both. For instance, if there were a good encyclopedia job, ^x he would be interested.

 I am enclosing a resume of his career which I think is rather eloquent. If you can give

me, or Mr. English direct, any tips I will be tremendously indebted to you.
