30 July 1967 Dear Jack, I've just read your review in today's underline: Star and am much interested in your comments. M U is really on the move in this area. The comment about you, before your essay begins, ought to be a good boost for underline: The Disinherited. I've hoped I'd see you in K.C someday. Now that I'm retired, I'm busier than ever, underline: it seems, but not too busy for friends. Among my books and papers, class notes, etc. I'm carrying out my own little slum clearance project (I need a small federal grant!). Just now I'm working on an article which I hope the underline: Star will use - Carl Sandburg as a ballad singer. Greetings to you both, Ray + Hazel
