   Erling and I didn't send Christmas cards this year as we went off to see our Kinder   We planned in lieu of cards to do latish New Year's letters when we returned mid-January.  But as I find your welcome and newsy card among the unanswered pile, I fear Erling didn't get to write you - so I must do it for him - as he counted you among his honored friends
