Few are left who were members of the church at that time, very few - they have gone , & trust to purer friends and to the enjoyment of unclear happiness than can be had here. But I am glad to think of the many faithful brothers & sisters. who have come in from time to time to take the place of those who were faithful in his house. during their season with the great cause; and that the church and congregation present now so favorable our aspect. We have seen many changes with the Savior's cause in America during the long years we have been here. Some seasons have been successful and very happy & others unsuccessful but the lack of success is always on our side and not on His.
