I shall try to get your letters sent to me frequently - if I conclude to stay very long; but shall not be very anxious for telegraph news, unless it grows better. I do not write much about the war in my letters not because I feel any less interest than formerly, but it is so useless to speculate. I do want to "holler" once good. If our army of the Potomac cannot whip Lee now - they never will. I see by the Beacon that Howland died in Hospital. Am very glad to hear of Mrs. Heywoods expectancy. Mrs. Evans is quite low again. Since I wrote you before, I have had still greater proof of the Govs friendship and close confidence. I received Sayers' letter. He shall hear from it as soon as I can write satisfactorily. With Kindest love to all Your Affectionate Husband
