Hawk Point than in Racine County. I remember many of their names, but when I go back I shall have them wonderfully jumbled. If anybody's cow ever run with anybody else's cow, anybody and anybody else are old friends in this country- until they quarrel, and as I have found lots of people who had acquaintances in Racine, and Chicago and Aurora, that I know, you see everybody is my friend. Esq Rockwell of Beloit sends his kind regards to Father. When I had mailed the little note to you on Friday last, I discovered the little white flower in my pocketbook. I picked it away up on the summit of the mountain at the base of which Central City is built. I was not there half an hour, but in that time two inches of snow had evaporated under the warm sun and the very vapor turned to snow again and whitened the ground again. I enclose you the flower this time, as well as a blue one which I picked at the base of the mountain- at Golden City- where Geo. Misner's brother "Doode" and his nice family resided for two years past. They live 18 miles North of there now, at St. Vrains. More tomorrow for the paper- Affectionately- Simeon Whiteley
