The Legislation of Constitution? is disreputable to us as a civilized nation it's slavish & disgraceful to us as women, & as a law it's weak & flimsy & one sided. What can be done in its place, I am free to confess I do not know? - I have not thought upon it long enough - as I have less to do with - the making than the maintaining of laws. I should be glad to much with the society
