MONDAY, JULY 3, 1865. Arrived with other Companies at Hilton Head about 4 P.M. Went into camp inside intrenchments TUESDAY 4 Was detailed on a unclear of administration and met at post Hd Qrs. Don't feel well. A white & Black picknick and fireworks in the evening. WEDNESDAY 5 Was unable to leave my bed. Have a high fever.
