THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8, 1864. Capts. Woodward & Farnsworth & Lt Thomas came in wounded. Also 8? or 10 others, among whom Col Gurney they were wounded yesterday morning FRIDAY 9 Made out an application for leave of absence. Capt Woodward died about 11 last night, and was buried sometime today. He was one of the best officers of the Regt. and every one knew him only to love him. His death will be a great loss. SATURDAY 10 Some more officers came among whom Col Siliman of 26th U.S.V.S? leg amputated. Col Geary came on a visit: he is geting better, but will not be well for some time. He brought my valise.
