WEDNESDAY 19 Was inspected by Capt Jewett of Genl Porter's Staff. He said my Co. looked the best of any Co. he had seen. Received letters from home & Jim Black.

THURSDAY 20 Went to town. Was introduced to Lt Glidden. Bought Heavy Art Tactics. $2.00. The orders are that our Regt is to relieve the 25th Ohio from picket duty and they are to go to town
