Attended Dr Gurley's church in the morning. As I went on guard at 1 o'clock I could not stay until the close of the exercises. Went to 14th St. church in the evening. The President met 200 or 300 contrabands while on his way from church and welcomed them to freedom.

Harry went to the Depot to meet his father, whom he was expecting to pay him a visit. He did not come.
