Dearest Bunny, I am sorry not to have been able to reply sooner to your Xmas note. I have been laid up for a good many months and unable to use either a pen or the typewriter -

  This will be brief and particularly for the purpose of urging you & Bill to make it to Florence to spend a few days here with me. I can't think of anything that would give me more pleasure -The political situation may give you pause but I don't believe that anything much will change this year which would affect visitors.
