small for his age, but seems well and happy. He comes over occasionally to play with Malcolm. M. has learned the Thomas telephone number, and for a while he used to call up nearly every day, all by himself. Awfully hot the past few days. I closed the house up early this morning and will try to keep it cool. I enclose picture taken by Laura on our picnic in Wash Pk July 4th.
