my hair is quite thick once more - thicker than it has ever been I think.

 The new house stands back from the street quite a bit - the living room on a line with the ash tree.  The house is a good 40 feet from our line and does not

interfere with either the light or the view. am rather glad they are building, as it has checked the feet of the populace which were wont to stray over our grass.

 The Kopp's are having their house painted - same color as before. Mr. K. is on his vacation. They all went on steamer Columbus yesterday to Milwaukee.
 Was surprised to learn of Mr. & Mrs. Halpin's difficulties. Do you know which of his children are married? They all seemed so happy when we took dinner 

there that time.

 Got book from library on the Efficient Kitchen. Very helpful. More complete than government pamphlets.
