 Mrs. Dodge is here cleaning the 2 back rooms for me. Have unearthed the nature leaflets which will keep out for Malcolm.
  Your lovely presents arrived on my birthday and everything is so nice. The apron is a perfect fit and the prettiest one I ever had. The handkerchiefs are so pretty,

and my! how rich I feel with so many new ones - and linen, too! I was quite destitute for handkerchiefs as usual, and I was considering getting a new apron, so you gave me just the right things. Many, many, thanks.
