 Jan. 13, 1921.

Dear Mum: -

Margaret called to me yesterday morning as I was going by, saying that she was having pains and expected to go to the hospital on the 10 o'clock train. Austin was

coming home to take her in, and she said she would have him let us know how she got along.

This morning, while we were at breakfast, I heard a rap on the window. It was Austin who announced that Margaret gave birth to a 9 pound girl at 7:30 last night, and that they were both doing well. She is at the west Suburban hospital and will probably remain two weeks.
