Dearest Mum & Grandmum:

 We are having a small flurry of snow this A.M. as I write & it is now 32 (degrees). Was 25 earlier in the day. Has been no colder so far. get a little

coal now and then - enough to last us. Expect 2 tons of the ILL lump today - $10 25 per ton. I believe the hard coal is still $18 00 or more - quite beyond our purse.

 Did I tell you that
