Precious Mudder:

 Got both your letters. Have written Nellie Zay to see if any of her neighbors will take some fruit. Maybe she would buy some herself. Will ask the Wilsons about taking some and anybody else I can find. Went over to see Miss Ross Thursday and brought home on of her manuscripts to write on my machine. She has purchased a little one (forget the name) which is operated differently from the one I am used to and I prefer to use my own. She wants to borrow my typewriter manual, in order to learn the touch system. Wednesday I went swimming and am going again this afternoon. Yesterday attended the meeting of the I Will Club at Mrs. Slagle's house. Mrs. Sanguinet (pronounced Sangvinay) a very pleasant young member of the club invited Max and me over to play cards with them Sat. evening. She lives in the Bldg. which Mrs. Allen
